“ORIC, Department of Islamic and Religious Studies in collaboration with, Citizen Portal awareness Seminar” on 13th April 2017 at University of Haripur.
Deputy Commissioner (DC) Haripur, Mr.Tasleem Khan (as resource person) introduced the features of citizen's portal .Keeping in view of the public interest in social media District government Haripur earlier made their pages on Facebook. Speaking at the occasion DC said that for public awareness, new features regarding District Food Prices (DFP) of essential commodities including vegetables, fruits and others non- perishable items have been added on citizen portal whereby updated prices of these items has been incorporated.
He also disclosed that any compliant regarding the overcharging etc. may be made through citizen portal for the redressal of the same. He further said that owing to the positive response of the general public on social media they have increased their activity to create awareness amongst the masses and added many features to their portal. Mr.Tasleem Khan hoped that people would be benefitted through the updated information about DFP. A large number of participant including the Students, Faculty Member and staff attended the activity.
At the end Registrar and Director ORIC paid thanks to local government for such a nice initiative and soveniour were presented among the Guests.
